Hello, dear readers,

Welcome to my cottage café!

The gentle patter of rain sets the mood for a day filled with warmth, creativity, and cozy vegan recipes.

Since today’s recipes are ones I’ve shared before, I’m simply noting the little details and variations here, just as a cosy reference if you’d like to try them yourself.

Cozy Vegan Recipes

Vegan Apple Pie

A hand arranges decorative dough pieces on a pie. A floral bouquet, rolling pin, and milk jug are nearby on a wooden table.

Using my usual vegan pie crust recipe, I prepared a double batch to fit a 29 x 20 x 3 cm cake tin.

  • The crust was adorned with nine diamond shapes, each filled with a green leaf or a pink flower made from naturally coloured dough using matcha and beetroot powders.

  • The leaves were crafted with a tiny leaf cookie cutter, and the flowers were formed by rolling thin coils of pink dough into rose-like shapes.

  • I used four apples for the filling.

Pudding Served in Lemon Halves

Hands holding a plate of lemon desserts with blueberries and mint, on a brown checkered tablecloth beside a floral pot and candle.

I prepared my usual vanilla pudding recipe and poured it into hollowed-out lemon halves.

Each serving was garnished with fresh mint leaves, blueberries, and a sprinkle of lemon zest.

Fruit and Floral Tea Blend

A hand adds dried flowers to a floral teapot on a checkered tablecloth. Lemons, blueberries, and daisies, with a cozy, vintage feel.

A soothing tea made with hibiscus, dried apple pieces, and rose buds. This blend offers a floral aroma and a slightly tart flavour, perfect for a rainy day.

Floral Vegan Croissants

Croissants topped with flowers on a tray, held by a hand. Bright, colorful flowers below and checkered background create a cheerful mood.

Using a vegan croissant dough from the German brand "Knack & Back," I added dried pansies on top before baking.

Though I left them in the oven a bit longer than intended, they still turned out beautifully and added a floral touch to the café table.

Inspiration & Links

Vibrant flowers in jars fill the foreground, with daisies and carnations. Soft focus shelves in the background create a cozy, warm ambiance.

Flower Frogs

Inspired by Life on Summerhill's air-dry clay flower frog tutorial, I created simple yet charming flower holders to adorn the café tables.

Pie Decoration

The intricate pie designs were influenced by Grazia in Tavola's YouTube channel, which showcases beautiful and creative pie decorations.

Lemon Pudding Presentation

The idea of serving pudding in lemon halves was inspired by various lemon posset presentations found on Pinterest.

Lemon halves filled with cream, topped with blueberries and mint on a plate. Flowers, tea cup, and checkered tablecloth in background. Cozy vibe.
